Utah Swimming has approximately 200 USA Swimming certified Officials. If you are someone looking to begin the rewarding process of becoming a USA Swimming Official, you have come to the right place. Utah Swimming Officials Committee is responsible for maintaining the certification and education of its Officials. CERTIFICATION ADVANCEMENT AND RECERTIFICATION
- Stroke and Turn, Junior Stroke and Turn, Starter, and Administrative Official require an initial online course offered through USA Swimming
- All other advancements require an initial online clinic offered through Utah Swimming

The National Officials Certification Program is administered by the USA Swimming Officials Committee. Its primary goal is to expand the education of officials through mentoring, participation and evaluation as well as recognizing those officials who have demonstrated their knowledge of swim officiating at each level and position. Certification at any level requires a combination of several things including evaluations, local participation at meets, continuing education, and the training and mentoring of other officials.
This is a great program to increase your knowledge and experince of Officiating. This program is highly recommended by the Utah Swimming Officials Committee to provide the highest experience and officiating for our young athletes.
